The Union of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce of Romania in India, in partnership with NEOPHRON INTERNATIONAL SRL and the Eurodeal Vocational Training Center, officially announces the launch of the “Romania–India” Sustainable Training and Specialization Program—a large-scale educational initiative offering Indian citizens the opportunity to obtain professional qualifications in Romania for key trades that are vital to the local economy.
The initial phase of the program focuses on training in the culinary profession, one of the most in-demand specializations within the HoReCa sector. The courses are accredited by both the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Education, and the issued certificates are internationally recognized through apostille, enabling graduates to legally and rapidly enter the Romanian labor market.
The first student visas for Indian citizens have already been approved, marking a concrete advancement of this bilateral partnership from institutional planning to practical implementation.
Theoretical and technical courses will be held at the Eurodeal Vocational Training Center, while practical internships will take place in prestigious restaurants in Bucharest, offering hands-on experience under the supervision of seasoned culinary professionals.
A defining feature of this program is the involvement of one of Romania’s most respected culinary experts — Chef Orlando Zaharia. With a remarkable career that began at the age of 14, Zaharia plays an active role in the professional development of students, conducting workshops, offering mentorship, and selecting top graduates for an advanced elite training program.
“Romania needs well-trained people, and India has disciplined, hard-working young individuals eager to learn. We’re offering them more than a course—we’re giving them a real chance at a solid career and integration into the European professional landscape,” stated the representative of NEOPHRON INTERNATIONAL SRL.
This is a complete and sustainable program, including Romanian language classes, cultural orientation, certified vocational training, and direct job integration. It’s not a short-term fix, but a solid strategy to develop a stable, legal, and skilled workforce.
Following the first cohort of culinary trainees, the program will expand to other specializations based on market demand—such as waiters, bartenders, pastry chefs, welders, electricians, and plumbers—responding to real needs from Romanian employers.
